
You will need:
- Yarn A (white or any colour you like), 8 ply
- Crochet hook (2.5 mm)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Pins
Abbreviations:
- Chain = ch
- Single crochet = sc
- Stitch/es = st/sts
- Decrease one single crochet = sc2tog
Notes:
- The nappy is an add-on to the finished baby koala which measures approximately 6 cm tall.
- Each row is completed with Ch 1 before turning your work.
Nappy Pattern
With Yarn A, ch 20.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from the hook, sc in each 18 ch. (19 sc)
Row 2: Sc2tog x 2, 11 sc, sc2tog x 2. (15 sc)
Row 3: Sc2tog x 2, 7 sc, sc2tog x 2. (11 sc)
Row 4: Sc2tog x 2, 3 sc, sc2tog x 2. (7 sc)
Row 5: Sc2tog, 3 sc, sc2tog x 2. (5 sc)
Rows 6-13: Sc in each st to the end (5 sc)
Row 14: Work 2 sc in next st, 3 sc, work 2 sc in next st. (7 sc)
Row 15: Sc in each st to the end. (7 sc)
Finish off by working sc around the nappy, starting from one side, then the back, to the other side.

Fasten off.
Using a yarn needle, add a couple of stitches to secure the nappy in place. Use the photo as reference.
