Modifications to the Mumma Koala

The mummy koala is a modification of the pattern in the “Sweet Crochet Friends” book by Khuc Cay.

I have modified the following to achieve my frontline hero Koala Mum:

  • Added [3ch, sl] border around the ears to make it look fluffy
  • Added the embroidered eyelashes
  • Changed the shirt from stripes to plain Blue Yarn and added the V-neck detail. I just determined the centre then introduced 1 sc, 3 sc, 5 sc, and 7 sc using the Grey Yarn in the last 4 rows of the body. The V detail is just a chain with sc, the middle part is sc2tog to create the pointy end of the V.

The Baby Koala is available as paid pattern.
